New Musical Discovery

Every now and again there comes a new musical act that is totally new (to me) and therefore very refreshing to listen to.

This group was on Jools Holland’s Hootenanny this New Year’s Eve and I thought they were brilliant. I’d never heard of them before but they sang this song and from the opening couple of bars I was absolutely hooked.

I hope you like them too. Here’s Pokey Lafarge and the South City Three.

I’ve never heard of this group either, but they are refreshing. I love the guy playing the wash board thing!

    Yeehaw! Like the scrub-board instrument.
