Daybook Entry – 19th Jan

PAM’S THOUGHTS FOR TODAY

Outside my window…it is night time. The weather is horrid, alternating between blustery showers to all out hailstorms.

I am thinking…about a friend and wishing there was something I could do to help her.

I am thankful…for my family.

In the kitchen…it’s a bit of a mess in there today. I’m totally disorganised today and we have all been at sixes and sevens so haven’t eaten properly tonight. Not happy with myself, but there ya go. Some days I’m a domestic goddess and some days I’m a normal wife and mother….!

I am wearing…jeans and a grey t-shirt.

I am creating…granny squares. It’s all my tramadol befuddled brain can cope with this week.

I am going…to go to bed shortly.

I am wondering…am I over the worst of this episode (please God, let me be over the worst of this episode).

I am reading…Gone To Ground by John Harvey.

I am hoping…Middleton Band do well at the Mineworkers Contest in Skegness on Saturday.

I am looking forward to…having the family home tomorrow night. No special reason, but I love having everyone home and talking at nineteen to the dozen about a million things. It reminds me that we are alive and loving life together.

I am learning…to trust my instincts about a couple of things.

Around the house…is more evidence that the maid hasn’t done her job properly all week *wink wink*

I am pondering…where to go for our Easter break. The kids are happy to just be away from home for a few days so it makes that decision a bit easier phew!

A favourite quote for today…We’re so busy watching out for what’s just ahead of us that we don’t take time to enjoy where we are. – Calvin & Hobbes

One of my favourite things…is having an unbroken night’s sleep.

A few plans for the rest of the week: coffee club on Saturday morning, church on Sunday. Not much else on the agenda in the next couple of days. I always find it hard to make plans when I’ve had an episode; it takes all my energy to feel fixed to the day in hand.

A thought to end with:
