I think this is a great post and it is well worth sharing. I identified with so much of this post and I wanted to add my own “problem” to it as well – what is the best way to respond to comments that are left on your posts? I don’t know whether reply on my own blog, reply by email directly to the commenter, go to their site and leave a comment there or what!

Can anyone help please??!

It does not take too long in the world of blogging to begin following bloggers that you like. Before you know it, you follow quite a few blogs, perhaps a bit more than you can keep up with. It happens.

Another thing that happens is that bloggers start following your blog. This is what makes a blogger smile…someone is following…someone likes what you write. It is like you have arrived; you follow and are being followed. Perfect…or is it?

With the rest of your life going on also, you find it difficult to keep up with the blogs you follow. Before you know it, you are no longer commenting because it’s quicker to hit the “Like” button. You also may find yourself skimming rather than reading some of the blogs you chose to follow. It happens.

    I always reply on my own blog and then visit them and leave a comment about their most recent post.
    I think it’s curteous to do this and like it when folk visit and comment. 🙂

    I respond on my blog, too. I subscribe to others posts via email–which can be overwhelming some days to read and post everywhere. I need to find balance, because I’m not getting much of anything else done!
