Ailsa Craig

imageThis is a photograph of my daughter piloting a Royal Navy boat in the middle of the Irish Sea and the lump of rock on the horizon is Ailsa Craig, from where the granite for 99% of the world’s curling stones is extracted.

You wouldn’t believe that was open water would you? It’s like a mill-pond out there!

I’m a very proud mama.
