I wrote yesterday about what it’s like to wait for things to happen, and how hard it can be when it appears nothing much is going on. The verse I shared was one that reminded me that even in the apparent nothingness that comes with waiting, God is at work.
And today’s verse follows on from that, in that it is a reminder to me that no matter what is – or isn’t happening – God is my rock, the one on whom my life is built. He is my fortress and my salvation, and in this time of waiting, I’m reminded that without God, I am nothing.
However, with God, I am everything I am ever meant to be and more. Rooted in faith and grounded in the bedrock of our Creator, the one from whom all life springs, I am blessed.
My rock, my fortress, my salvation, my God.
Grace and peace
