Today marks a special day in our family. As a young naïve 20 year old and a young green 22 year old, Kevin and I got married at St Andrew’s Church in Blackley. Our life together has had its ups and downs, its joys and its traumas, and it has survived the most catastrophic events in the intervening years.
We have the joy of two wonderful children who have grown up to be independent, intelligent, clever, caring and giving people, and we have so many happy times as a family to look back on that it wouldn’t be fair to single any out.
Thank you to my husband, without whom I wouldn’t be here today sharing this anniversary and looking at what the future holds for us.
Let’s hope that we will continue to share all that married throws our way with our usual sense of humour and acceptance. We’ve survived the worst, we can certainly survive the best.
